Podcast hosted by Gamma Technologies’ own Abhishek Jain, PhD and Divya Thiagarajan, PhD
The GT Tech Talk is a monthly podcast featuring conversations on the role system simulation plays in the areas of thermal management, mechanics, fuel cells, batteries, and more.
Each episode highlights unique topics across various engineering applications and has a guest speaker from GT development and/or application engineers who work on our solutions every day. Watch and listen to lively discussions about our simulation applications and learn more about the experts behind the scenes.
Divya Thiagarajan, PhD and Abhishek Jain, PhD are the hosts for this podcast.
In this fourth episode, learn more about our vehicle & system integration applications with guests Jon Zeman (Vehicle & Integration Application Engineering Group Lead) and Marcin Okarmus (Senior R&D Manager)!
In the fifth episode, hear insights from Jon Zenker (Head of Strategic Markets) and Rodrigo Aihara (Senior Staff Application Engineer, Thermal Fluid Systems) on heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration (HVACR) applications!
In this third episode, hear insights from Navin Fogla, PhD (Senior R&D Manager, Reactive Flow Systems) and Jake How (Senior Staff Application Engineer, Reactive Flow Systems) on fuel cell simulation!
In this second episode, hear and learn from Brad Holcomb (Thermal Application Engineer, Component Cooling/GEM3D) on thermal management simulation such as cooling system models, thermal runaway, and more!
Welcome to the first episode of the GT Tech Talk. In this episode, hosts Abhishek Jain, PhD. and Divya Thiagarajan, PhD. are joined by Yousef Kanani, PhD. (Thermal Application Engineer, A/C) as they discuss the immense potential of system-level simulations and how they can be a powerful engineering design tool. We explore the benefits of system engineering when the modeling can be achieved at different fidelities and discuss some exciting real world engineering applications.
Divya Thiagarajan, PhD is a Senior Engineer at Gamma Technologies in the Fluids and Heat Transfer Development team. She works on expanding the development of GT-SUITE features in the area of thermal management with a focus on thermal finite element modeling. She joined GT in April 2018 shortly after completing her PhD in Mechanical Engineering at Purdue University. Outside of work, Divya loves running, playing board games and is an avid Formula 1 fan.
Abhishek Jain, PhD is a Senior Engineer at Gamma Technologies in the Fluids and Heat Transfer Development team. He works on expanding the capabilities of GT-SUITE in the area of HVAC, Refrigerants and 2-phase flow. He joined GT in January 2019 shortly after completing his PhD in Mechanical Engineering from Penn State. Outside of work, Abhishek plays the violin, likes going on hikes, and is an avid chess and squash fan.
