This 1-day course is a training to introduce GT-SUITE. It is designed for new users of GT-SUITE that are interested in modeling fluid system such as cooling circuit, oil circuit, or injection systems or any hydraulic system related or non-related to engine (clutches, variable valve actuation, pump & valve design, or actuation systems for Off-Highway vehicle…).
This course will focus on the basics for the start of the use of GT-SUITE in fluid applications. Each student will be provided with a computer. The course will include the construction of models and use of the software, which will enable the participants to use the software immediately. It will cover the following topics:
• Introductory Concepts of GT-SUITE
• 1-D Flow Simulation
• Discretization of 1-D Models
• Model Setup- initialization, parameters sweeps, convergence
• Post-processing (GT-POST)
• Subassemblies
The following fluid modeling topics will be included:
• Modeling of pipes & fluid component
• Fluid Properties
• Steady-State & Transient Simulation
If time permits at the end of the class, additional topics can be covered including introductions to: Coupling with Simulink and CFD Coupling.
When registering, please note how you plan to use GT-SUITE in the ‘Area of Interest’ field.
The day following this 1-day course, we are proposing a second 1-day training about one of the three following applications:
– lubrication
– injection
– cooling
In Day 2 we are offering a specific training on injection. If you are interested in this application, we recommend that you register for this GT-SUITE Injection System Modeling-Day 2 under http://www.gtisoft.com/training/training-event.php?Id=136
Should you be interested in one of the two other applications (cooling, lubrication, or even another application), please contact us to organize this second day at your facility or to be informed about the next training dates in 2009.
