This FREE seminar is intended for advanced users of GT-POWER who want to convert a detailed GT-POWER engine model to a Fast Running Model (FRM) and then to a Real-Time (RT) model. RT Models are in demand for use in Software-in-the-Loop (SiL) or Hardware-in-the-Loop (HiL) controller development. FRM or RT models are in demand for coupling with a vehicle and/or vehicle thermal management model in order to achieve efficient modeling of drive cycles.
The process of converting a detailed engine model to FRM will be demonstrated, showing the important steps and convenient features available in GT-SUITE that make the process efficient and assist the user in generating models adjusted to the available computer power without significant loss of accuracy.
Outline:
- Introduction and overview: goals and possibilities
- Model reduction to FRM
- Adjustments to run in real time
- Attach RT model to a vehicle model with cooling and/or other systems
- Attach RT model to a Control System model in Simulink (SiL application).
- HiL demonstration
Computers are not required and will not be provided, but attendees are welcome to bring along their own laptop to follow along and participate. Installation CDs and temporary licenses will be made available to those who wish to bring laptops. (When registering, please inform us if you plan to bring a laptop. We will contact you closer to the date of the class to arrange the licensing.) Due to the limited room capacity, seats will be allocated preferentially to OEMs and suppliers.
If you are interested in GT-POWER training but do not have prior experience, please consider this class: Engine Modeling (GT-POWER)
Note: This class starts the day after the European GT-SUITE Conference. To view details and register for the conference click here
