This seminar is intended to highlight the unique features offered in GT-SUITE related to predictive friction modeling of mechanical systems with an emphasis on engine friction. Each of the engine mechanical subsystems including, but not limited to; cranktrain, valvetrain, timing and accessory drives, will be introduced. During the overview, new developments in these areas will be highlighted. GT-SUITE Oil film models, of varying levels of fidelity, will then be applied to a select set of engine multi-body dynamics models to predict friction at the key interfaces like the bearings, cylinders and contacts and guides.
Due to the limited room capacity, seats will be allocated preferentially to commercial customers.
