This seminar starts the day after the US GT-SUITE Conference. You can register for both the conference and this event together at the same time by clicking the ‘Register’ button at the Conference page
This 1/2 day seminar will provide methods to optimize data sharing and management in GT-SUITE. It will introduce recommended modeling-building practices and demonstrate techniques for accessing and exporting data of various types. The material presented will be especially applicable to those working with or within larger organizations where numerous individuals, departments, and even external organizations (i.e. suppliers, consultants) participate in the modeling process. The agenda will include:
1) Data sharing and management.
a. Data sharing at various levels (raw data; objects; libraries of objects; subsystems; subassemblies; etc.)
b. Data sharing in different scenarios (between users; between departments; between suppliers and OEMS)
c. Data Integrity (automated updating; change notification)
d. Data Security (locked data; hidden and encrypted data)
2) Managing Experiments (DOE; Case Setup; external parameters)
a. Using super-parameters to group together dependent sets of parameters
b. New DOE options for non-real data like filenames, reference objects, and strings
3) Automated Model building at the system-level using databases of pre-built components
4) Post-processing
a. Automated comparison of GT-SUITE to external (i.e. laboratory) results in GT-POST
b. Data export options
Who Should Attend: This class is recommended for individuals involved in coordinating modeling activities, especially those responsible for the integration of different sub-systems into large-scale, multi-system models. No prior experience with GT-SUITE is necessary to attend, but the content will be fairly technical and so a working knowledge of GT-SUITE will be helpful.
GT-SUITE Keywords: Object libraries; implicit objects; Excel blueprint; subassemblies; compounds; parameterized parent objects; Case Setup; DOE Setup; external parameter files; GT-EXPORT; GT-POST mapping files
