This 2-day course is designed for new users of GT-POWER and GT-SUITE that are interested in modeling internal combustion engines. This course will focus on engine simulation through the use of GT-POWER. Each trainee will be provided with a computer. The course will include the construction of models and use of the software, which will enable the participants to use the software immediately. It will cover the following topics:

Introductory Concepts of GT-SUITE

  • Introduction to ESI & Gamma Technologies Inc.
  • Introduction to Pre -Processing Tools – GT-SPACECLAIM, GEM-3D
  • 1-D Flow Simulation
  • Explanation for Flow Components – Pipes, Flow Splits, Orifices, Losses
  • Discretization of 1-D Models
  • Sub assemblies: internal, external, encryption of sub-assemblies

 

The following engine modeling topics will be included:   
  • Modeling of: manifolds, valves, combustion, heat transfer and fuel injection
  • Non-Predictive Combustion for Gasoline and Diesel Engines
  • Cylinder Pressure Analysis   
  • Turbochargers
  • EGR   
  • Controls Library  
  • Transient Simulation   
  • Predictive Combustion Modeling
  • Model Setup- initialization, Run Setup

Terms and Conditions:

  • Training available only to existing GT customers
  • Purchase Order (PO) is due 2 weeks before training start date
  • Advance payment for training is due one week before training start date
  • Training cost will be Rs 20,000 for each user.  Training cost for additional 2nd user will be Rs 15,000 &  3rd onwards users will be Rs 10,000 from same company.
  • Training date can be shifted if minimum trainee registration not met
