Aftertreatment Modeling Workflow – from Concept and Design to ECU Testing and Verification

Register for this event and the associated North American GT Conference at Conference page.

This FREE half-day seminar is intended for experienced GT-SUITE exhaust aftertreatment users, managers, and group leaders. This seminar will focus on how aftertreatment simulation fits into the workflow of the development V-Cycle (aka V-Model) process.

  1. Concept of Operation and Requirements
    • Tailpipe emission requirements
    • Assessment of available technology – injection, combustion, and aftertreatment
  2. Detailed Design
    • Component model calibration
    • Engine, aftertreatment, and controls
    • Architecture optimization (sizing, location, control strategy)
  3. Implementation, Test, and Verification – Advanced Model-Based Control Design Using Reduced GT Plant Models
    • Component model validation
    • Model reduction through system identification (SysID)
    • ECU compatible model testing
  4. System Verification and Validation – Control Testing and Verification Using Fast-Running GT Plant Models (FRMs)
    • Fast Running Engine and Aftertreatment Models
    • MiL Testing
    • SiL Testing/Calibration
    • HiL Testing

If you have any questions or suggestions for additional topics, please feel free to contact [email protected].
