Solver Developer – Electric Motors and Drives

What You Will Do
You will contribute to GT-SUITE, an industry-leading simulation platform used across the automotive, aerospace, and other industries to model complex multi-physics systems involving electromagnetics, fluid dynamics, thermal management, mechanics, acoustics, chemistry, and controls.
- Research, develop, and implement advanced mathematical models and computational algorithms for electric motors, drives, and their control systems.
- Collaborate with development and application teams to drive continuous improvement of the software.
- Maintain and enhance existing solver code, including bug fixes and refactoring.
- Write and maintain internal technical documentation.
What You Will Bring
- PhD in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- Desired GPA of 3.6/4.0 (for academic qualifications).
- At least 2 years of professional or graduate-level experience in electric motor design, motor control, or drive system modeling.
- Experience with modeling and analysis tools such as MATLAB/Simulink.
- Strong programming background in scientific computing (Fortran, C, C++, Python, or MATLAB).
- Solid knowledge of common motor types and control techniques.
