Senior Project Engineer – Reactive Flow Systems
Gamma Technologies, LLC (GT) is looking for a Senior Project Engineer – Reactive Flow Systems for Thessaloniki/Greece office with a solid work ethic, excellent judgment, and a desire to build a long-term career with us.
Position Summary
We are looking for a creative, talented, and self-driven application engineer to join our Support and Applications team in the Reactive Flow Systems group to help our customers get the most out of our software tools and leverage the knowledge learned from these interactions to continuously improve the software capabilities.
Specifically, you will join our reactive flow systems team which focuses on modeling a range of reactive systems from combustion and automotive exhaust lines up to chemical industry plants. You will be responsible for collaborating with cross-functional teams, to design, implement, and validate simulation models. Your expertise will be key in understanding and analyzing the behavior of reactive flow systems, identifying areas for improvement, and proposing innovative solutions that contribute to the automotive, transportation, and chemical industries.
Job Responsibilities
- Develop solutions to assist customers in advancing their simulation capability and thereby reduce reliance on physical testing.
- Assist customers in their use of our software simulation tools, from combustion engine exhaust after-treatment systems to complete chemical processes.
- Use customer feedback and interaction to design and test new GT-SUITE product features related to industrial processes.
- Proactively carry out proof-of-concept projects to demonstrate cutting-edge software solutions to prospective customers around reactive systems.
- Interact with established and emerging customers through training classes, conferences, and marketing events.
- Help evangelize the critical role Gamma Technologies plays in helping automotive companies on the Road to Zero Carbon Emissions.
Education, Experience, and Skills
Any combination of education and experience that would likely provide the required knowledge and abilities is qualifying. A typical way to obtain the knowledge and abilities would be:
- Master’s degree in mechanical engineering, chemical engineering, or related field plus 2 years of experience in a related position. Strong background in physical chemistry is needed.
- Required Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication in English.
- Prior experience in physical systems modeling, exhaust after-treatment systems simulation, and/or chemical industry component/process modeling will be a plus.
- Working experience in one or more of the following fields would be appreciated: modeling of technologies involving alternative/zero carbon fuels, carbon capture, utilization, and storage (CCUS); energy storage systems; exhaust aftertreatment systems and industrial processes.
