Job Duties

Senior Engineers for various and unanticipated worksites throughout the U.S. (HQ: Westmont, IL) location. Responsible for the functionality of mechanical elements of the GT-SUITE software to model engine, powertrain, and vehicle systems, and address performance, fuel economy, noise and vibration, and durability issues. Provide technical support for GT-SUITE customers, including automotive OEMs and suppliers. Investigate technical inquiries related to modeling practices, assessing vehicle system data, and communicating findings with customers. Participate in the development planning and implementation of future versions of GT-SUITE by designing new CAE modeling features and performing testing and documentation of those features. Perform training for GT-SUITE customers’ engineering professionals.

Requirements

Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Systems Engineering or related field plus two years of experience in engineering required. Required skills: vehicle powertrain modeling; fuel economy analysis; powertrain electrification of light and heavy-duty trucks; vehicle energy analysis and root-cause analysis; vehicle performance testing; machine learning, MATLAB/SIMULINK. Some telecommuting permitted.
