Technical Sales Engineer – Systems Solutions

Position Summary:
We are looking for an outgoing and highly motivated System Solutions Engineer who will be part of the team responsible for North American sales and business development. The system solutions engineer will consult with existing and potential new customers to identify technical problems that can be solved by system simulation, and then propose solutions to those problems utilizing our industry leading GT-SUITE software. The system solutions engineer will then follow each business opportunity through to the final sale, acting as the main technical and business resource for the customer. This position requires strong technical skills as well as strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Job Responsibilities:

Identify potential business opportunities at prospective new accounts
Maintain strong relationships and identify new business opportunities within existing accounts
Attend conferences and trade shows to represent GT, and to generate potential leads
Analyze current and potential customer’s technical requirements, prepare and propose simulation solutions in cooperation with internal technical specialists
Interact with Finance Office to develop and deliver quotes for potential new business
Act as main business and technical consultant for prospective customers as they evaluate and decide on GT solutions, following the process through to customer on-boarding
Utilize SalesForce CRM to manage all opportunities throughout the process
Travel 6-8 weeks per year, mostly within the US

Essential Qualifications:

BS degree in engineering or other STEM field
Minimum GPA of 3.2 out of 4.0
Outgoing personality with a desire to build relationships with customers
Strong verbal and written communications skills
Self-motivated and strong work ethic

Additional Qualification Desired:

Experience with GT-SUITE, or other system simulation CAE tools
Experience in the automotive, aerospace, or related engineering fields

Undertake projects to research, develop and test advanced computational models of mechanical engineering equipment, including vehicle powertrain and driveline systems. Accounting Manager

Growing software development company in Western Suburbs needs a bright, motivated, leader to take over accounting responsibilities. This position will report directly to the CFO and have a staff of two, including a staff accountant and accounting assistant.

Currently, the company has ~80 employees, a subsidiary in Germany and several global relationships with agents/consultants. In addition to the usual accounting tasks associated with running a global business, there is a transfer pricing agreement in place with respect to the German operation, an annual R&D credit calculation and tax filing requirements in 7 states, including Illinois. As a pro-active organization, there are also ongoing accounting/compliance projects each year.

Due to recent organizational changes, there will be several new challenges as follows:

Conversion to GAAP accounting
Monthly financial reporting packages
Quarterly reporting requirements
New accounting system implementation
Multi-entity accounting
Annual financial audit

The new Accounting Manager will be heavily involved in each of these areas and additionally be asked to help manage certain HR related tasks and have an interest in the business side of things, such as customer quoting /software licensing support.

The ideal candidate will:

Have an accounting degree and be a CPA
Have several years of experience, including time spent on tasks listed above as “new challenges”
Be meticulous
Be able to identify problems AND offer solutions

Vorkenntnisse in den Bereichen Strömungsmechanik, Thermodynamik und Verbrennungsmotoren
Kenntnisse der Software GT-SUITE/GT-POWER sind von Vorteil

Das Einsatzspektrum unserer Software GT-SUITE/GT-POWER umfasst die Modellierung und Berechnung von Motorleistung (Verbrennungsmotor oder E-Maschine) und Emissionen (vRDE), EV/HEV Energiemanagement, thermischer Sicherheit und Fahrzeugklimatisierung, Ölkreisläufen und Einspritzsystemen und vielen weiteren interessanten und neuartigen Anwendungen.

Ihr Profil:

Immatrikulation an einer Hochschule und Studium aus den Bereichen Maschinenbau, Fahrzeugtechnik, Luft- und Raumfahrttechnik Verfahrenstechnik, Mechatronik oder Ähnliches
Vorkenntnisse im Bereich Strömungsmechanik, Mehrkörpermechanik, Strömungssimulation, Wärme- und Stoffübertragung oder Reaktionskinetik
Kenntnisse der Software GT-SUITE/GT-POWER oder anderen 1D-Simulationstools sind von Vorteil
Gute Deutsch und Englisch Kenntnisse in Wort und Schrift werden vorausgesetzt

Ihre Aufgaben:

Unterstützung der Mitarbeiter bei Entwicklungsaufgaben, Evaluations- und Serviceprojekten
Beteiligung an Tests neuer Softwareversionen und Komponenten sowie deren Dokumentation
Aktive Mitarbeit an der Erstellung von Schulungs- und Marketingunterlagen und bei Bedarf Übernahme organisatorischer Aufgaben
