Controller

Gamma Technologies, LLC (GT) is looking for a Controller with a solid work ethic, excellent judgment, and a desire to build a long-term career with us.

Position Summary

Reporting to the CFO, the Corporate Controller will be responsible for the entire accounting department, including being the architect of its future needs. This highly visible role will require frequent interaction and coordination with senior and executive management, as they will work with them to ensure compliance with US GAAP, banking covenants, and both domestic and international tax requirements. The Controller will own accounting operations, financial close, and other advanced accounting items such as M&A and intercompany transactions. As a key member of the Finance team, the Controller will also work closely with the FP&A function and assist with KPI reporting, budgeting, M&A, or other business case development. The Controller will lead, develop, train, and mentor the current accounting staff, and have responsibility to build out the team as departments grow and change.

Job Responsibilities

  • Some key milestones during the first six months include:
  • Forge relationships with staff to set individual and department goals;
  • Study and become an expert in GT’s products, customers, business model, and values;
  • Review and update the company’s documented accounting policies;
  • Manage communications with external auditors; own and run the audit process;
  • Be part of an internal team currently evaluating an expanded ecosystem of business application tools, aimed toward driving efficiencies and improving the data sync between NetSuite and SalesForce.

Position Description

  • Technical Skills: Proven track record and thorough understanding of the software subscription revenue model and SaaS. Experience working with senior leadership and meeting the needs of investors (PE sponsors, lenders, etc.). Comfortable getting deep in the weeds on key accounting entries. Strong understanding of GAAP and experience with P&L, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow analysis, including ASC 606 and foreign currency translation. Intimately familiar with NetSuite, have some familiarity with SalesForce and possess an extremely high degree of proficiency with MS Office products including advanced Excel and PowerPoint.

Ability to take ownership of a body of work and delivered the results on-time and with minimal support;
  • Strong Process Engineer: Enjoy triage and troubleshooting of operational issues and projects to optimize infrastructure/systems/processes for scale. Capable of spearheading and managing continuous process improvement across all areas of the business to scale with growth. Experience laying out a step-by-step plan for how to automate or improve a process;
  • An Outstanding Team Leader (not just a Bean Counter): Open door policy. Ability to quickly forge relationships, do what is required to bring out the best in them, and cultivate talent;

Education, Experience and Skills

  • Active CPA;
  • Experience at a $50M – $200M ARR PE-backed SaaS or subscription software company;
  • 7-10+ years of progressive accounting experience;
  • Team leader (Managed a team of 3 or more);
  • International accounting experience currencies, consolidations, and cross-charging/transfer pricing.

Highly Desired Skills:

  • NetSuite experience;
  • Previous experience as a Controller;
  • M&A experience.
