Battery Management Systems Intern

Who We Are

Gamma Technologies (GT), the global leader in multi-physics system simulation software, develops a suite of integrated solutions designed to guide and accelerate the engineering transformation of today’s products. Fusing advanced physics with AI algorithms, our platform, GT-SUITE, is used to simulate a broad range of systems from early stage development to digital twin applications across multiple industries including transportation and mobility, marine, aerospace and defense, power and energy, data centers and HVACR.

At Gamma Technologies, our people are the driving force behind our success. We are looking for Battery Management Systems Intern who shares our passion for authentic innovation, trusted partnerships, bold decisions and a relentless focus on customer success.

We are looking for a creative, talented, and self-starting intern to temporarily join our Applications Group to work on special projects to utilize GT software in new and innovative ways. Gamma Technologies develops GT-SUITE and GT-AutoLion. GT-SUITE is sophisticated desktop software packages for simulating almost any kind of engineering multi-physics system, such as those arising in the automotive, aerospace, and other industries, involving fluid, thermal, mechanical, electromagnetics, chemical and controls elements. GT-AutoLion, built upon the Newman Pseudo-2D framework, provides an additional physics-based model of Lithium-ion and Lithium-metal cells for modeling performance, degradation, and safety of energy storage systems. These tools also utilize a sophisticated set of user interfaces including map-based and 3D-based pre- and post-processors.

 What You Will Do

  • Build out demonstration models for demonstrating model-in-the-loop, software-in-the-loop, and hardware-in-the-loop applications
  • Help build out technical collateral and marketing collateral to help communicate the value of GT software for BMS engineering teams

 What You Will Bring

  • Applicant must be currently pursuing a BS, MS, or PhD degree in engineering (mechanical, electrical, chemical, or energy) or materials science (or similar)
  • Minimum 2 years completed in undergraduate studies
  • Basic exposure to battery technology and ideally battery modeling techniques
  • The expected hourly range for this role is $28.00 – $42.00. Please note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Hourly rates are based upon candidate skills, experience, qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
