Gamma Technologies’ Senior Vice President and Co-Founder, Rifat Keribar, Named a Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE) Fellow 

WESTMONT, IL – Rifat KeribarDr. Rifat Keribar, Senior Vice President and Co-Founder of Gamma Technologies, has been awarded the Fellow grade of membership in the Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE) – the highest level of SAE membership. This distinguished honor is bestowed on fewer than 20 awardees per year in recognition of years of service and SAE membership, as well as original contributions to the automotive technology and engineering community. SAE established the Fellow grade of membership in 1975 to recognize important engineering, scientific and leadership achievements that have impacted the mobility industry and SAE’s contributions to the profession and society.

Dr. Keribar has more than 40 years of experience focusing on computer-aided engineering, simulation and R&D, primarily in automotive engineering. In his over 30 years of service at Gamma Technologies, he has extensively contributed to computer-aided engineering and multi-physics simulation of IC engines, powertrains, vehicles and vehicle systems, focusing in recent years on mechanical systems, NVH and tribology. During his career he has been passionate about the impact integrated multi-physics simulation can have on automotive engineering practices and product development.

Commenting on his career and nomination, Dr. Keribar said “I am honored for the recognition and nomination from my esteemed peers. I have had the privilege of working with talented thought leaders and teams both inside and outside of Gamma Technologies, who have been instrumental in the growth of simulation for engineering throughout my career,” Dr. Keribar remarked. “Engineering advancements are not normally developed in silos, rather propelled by collaboration. I have been fortunate to benefit from working with some of the best in my career and am appreciative of this recognition and award by SAE.”

At Gamma Technologies, Dr. Keribar has been instrumental in the development and expansion of Gamma Technologies’ GT-SUITE and its breadth of capabilities. He is the author of more than 40 technical publications and has been recognized by SAE and international organizations for his work.

Dr. Keribar will be honored at the SAE Fellows Reception and Dinner, April 15, 2024, prior to SAE’s WCX event, in Detroit, MI.
