This one day class is intended for users of GT-SUITE who want to use GT-SpaceClaim to efficiently import CAD geometries as flow networks into GT-ISE for use in fluid models in GT-SUITE. GT-SpaceClaim is a free CAD pre-processor application that is included in the installation of GT V7.3. It was introduced in fall, 2012 and is included with all GT license types.
Common applications that will benefit from these capabilities are:
· Intake Systems including Airboxes
· Exhaust Systems including Mufflers
· Intake and Exhaust Manifolds
· Vehicle Cooling Systems
· Lubrication Systems
· Fuel Injection Systems
The following topics will be on the agenda for the seminar, but we encourage attendees to also suggest additional topics when registering. In addition, there should be time available for questions during and at the end of the seminar.
Topics and Exercises:
· Importing native CAD files
· Fixing the geometry
· Extracting the inner flow volume
· Creating complex components from primitive shapes and Boolean operations
· Exporting CAD Models to GEM3D
· Review of multiple applications (engine performance, VTM, lubrication systems, fuel systems, more?)
· Open Forum, for questions and discussion
Computers will be provided for attendees to use during the training.
