This one day free seminar will introduce engineers to the use of GT-SUITE for modeling hydraulic components and systems. This includes, but is not limited to, the following applications:

  • Pumps and valves (control valves, pressure regulators, etc.
  • Variable valvetrains and valve control with hydraulic actuation
  • Compression release brakes with hydraulic actuation
  •  Gearbox/transmission/clutch hydraulic actuation
  •  Hydraulic hybrids
  • Fuel systems and fuel injection components (high-pressure pumps, injectors, leakage, etc)

The seminar will discuss creation of models on various levels of detail using GT-SUITE, including components in which the fluid-mechanical interaction is important and integration of the components into system level models. The seminar will consist of interactive model building, demonstrations from the instructor and guided examination and analysis of pre-built models.

In addition to the above topics, this course will also discuss some of the general features in GT-SUITE, including:

  •   1-D Flow (steady state and transient) simulation
  •  Solver/Integrator options (explicit vs. implicit)
  •   Cavitation and aeration
  •  Optimization and DOE
  •  Simulink co-simulation
  •  User-created compound templates
