Software Engineer – Controls and MiL/SiL/HiL Development

Gamma Technologies develops, markets, and sells engineering simulation software called GT-SUITE. GT-SUITE is used by over 600 companies including all leading OEMs around the world. GT-SUITE comprises a state-of-the-art systems simulation solver encompassing libraries of fluid dynamic, mechanical, thermal and electromagnetic sub-models plus a sophisticated set of user interfaces including map-based and 3D-based pre- and post-processors. Position Summary

We are looking for a creative, focused self-starter to work as a software developer in the area of engine and vehicle controls development, co-simulation and real-time testing. Specifically, you would join our Controls and “X”-i-L development team whose focus is on co-simulation and integration of GT-SUITE with 3rd party tools for the control of the vehicle and its subsystems. Job Responsibilities

  • Develop, test and maintain software interfaces with 3rd party tools to achieve robust and efficient co-simulation.
  • Develop advanced control technologies such as model-predictive control, non-linear control etc
  • Closely collaborate with other developers in the context of integrated transient simulations of complete systems that include other physical domains such as fluids, mechanical and thermal, to ensure real-time model execution.
  • Collaborate with application engineers on functional and I/O requirements and design of models. Adapt models to user requirements aimed at addressing today’s important issues in powertrain and vehicle controls testing.

Education and Experience

  • MS or equivalent in Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering with minimum GPA of 3.5/4.0
  • New college graduates or experienced engineers are welcome.
  • Experience with engine and/or vehicle controls development and testing

Technology Skills

  • Proficiency in C programming language
  • Proficiency in MATLAB/SIMULINK/Simulink Coder
  • Experience with SiL/HiL software and hardware such as dSPACE, ETAS, NI.
  • Experience with co-simulation concepts as well as hard real-time simulation concepts.
  • Experience with measurement, calibration and co-simulation protocols is desirable.
