Technical Sales Engineer – Systems Solutions

Gamma Technologies, LLC (GT) is looking for a Technical Sales Engineer with a solid work ethic, excellent judgment, and a desire to build a long-term career with us. Gamma Technologies develops, markets, and sells engineering simulation software called GT-SUITE. GT-SUITE is used by over 600 companies including all leading OEMs around the world. GT-SUITE comprises a state-of-the-art systems simulation solver encompassing libraries of fluid dynamic, mechanical, thermal and electromagnetic sub-models plus a sophisticated set of user interfaces including map-based and 3D-based pre- and post-processors. Our software aids in the design and optimization of products in many industries, including Automotive, Agriculture, Off-Highway Vehicles, Aerospace, Power Generation, Marine and Rail, and Industrial Machinery.

Position Summary

We are looking for an outgoing and highly motivated System Solutions Engineer who will be part of the team responsible for North American sales and business development. The system solutions engineer will consult with existing and potential new customers to identify technical problems that can be solved by system simulation, and then propose solutions to those problems utilizing our industry leading GT-SUITE software. The system solutions engineer will then follow each business opportunity through to the final sale, acting as the main technical and business resource for the customer. This position requires strong technical skills as well as strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Job Responsibilities

  • Identify potential business opportunities at prospective new accounts.
  • Maintain strong relationships and identify new business opportunities within existing accounts.
  • Attend conferences and trade shows to represent GT, and to generate potential leads.
  • Analyze current and potential customer’s technical requirements, prepare and propose simulation solutions in cooperation with internal technical specialists.
  • Interact with Finance Office to develop and deliver quotes for potential new business.
  • Act as main business and technical consultant for prospective customers as they evaluate and decide on GT solutions, following the process through to customer on-boarding.
  • Maintain SalesForce CRM to manage all opportunities throughout the process.

Education and Experience

  • BS degree in engineering or other STEM field
  • Minimum GPA of 3.2 out of 4.0
  • 1-3 years of experience in technical sales
  • Outgoing personality with a desire to build relationships with customers
  • Strong verbal and written communications skills
  • Self-motivated and strong work ethic

Technology Skills

  • Experience with GT-SUITE, or other system simulation CAE tools.
  • Experience in the automotive, aerospace, or related engineering fields.
  • Experience with sales engineering or applications engineering
  • Experience with CRM and social networking tools (SalesForce, LinkedIn Sales Navigator).
