Technical Sales Engineer – Systems Solutions

Gamma CAE Technologies Pvt Ltd, is a wholly owned Indian subsidiary of Gamma Technologies, LLC located in Pune. The Indian subsidiary carries out the support, marketing and sales operations for the India region. The parent company was established in 1994 and is headquartered in Westmont, Illinois (20 miles west of Chicago, IL).

Gamma Technologies, LLC develops, markets, and sells engineering simulation software called GT-SUITE. It is the software of choice for more than 600 leading corporations worldwide. GT-SUITE is used by over 600 companies including all leading OEMs around the world. GT-SUITE comprises a state-of-the-art systems simulation solver encompassing libraries of fluid dynamic, mechanical, thermal and electromagnetic sub-models plus a sophisticated set of user interfaces including map-based and 3D-based pre- and post-processors. Our software aids in the design and optimization of products in many industries, including Automotive, Agriculture, Off-Highway Vehicles, Aerospace, Power Generation, Marine and Rail, and Industrial Machinery.

Position Summary

We are looking for an outgoing and highly motivated System Solutions Engineer who will be part of the team responsible for Indian sales and business development. The system solutions engineer will consult with existing and potential new customers to identify technical problems that can be solved by system simulation, and then propose solutions to those problems utilizing our industry leading GT-SUITE software. The system solutions engineer will then follow each business opportunity through to the final sale, acting as the main technical and business resource for the customer. This position requires strong technical skills as well as strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Job Responsibilities

  • Identify potential business opportunities at prospective new accounts.
  • Maintain strong relationships and identify new business opportunities within existing accounts.
  • Attend conferences and trade shows to represent GT, and to generate potential leads.
  • Analyze current and potential customer’s technical requirements, prepare and propose simulation solutions in cooperation with internal technical specialists.
  • Act as main business and technical consultant for prospective customers as they evaluate and decide on GT solutions, following the process through to customer on-boarding.
  • Utilize SalesForce CRM to manage all opportunities throughout the process.
  • Travel 8-10 weeks per year, mostly within the India.

Education and Experience

  • MS degree in engineering with minimum GPA of 8 out of 10.
  • Experience with GT-SUITE, or other system simulation CAE tools.
  • Experience in the automotive, aerospace, or related engineering fields.
  • Outgoing personality with a desire to build relationships with customers.
  • Strong verbal and written communications skills.
  • Self-motivated and strong work ethic.

Technology Skills

  • Experience with sales engineering or applications engineering.
  • Experience with CRM and social networking tools (SalesForce and/or LinkedIn Sales Navigator).
