Senior Engineers

Job Duties

Undertake projects to research, develop and test advanced computational models of mechanical engineering equipment, including automotive systems, internal combustion engines, and engine subsystems. Apply mechanical elements of the GT-SUITE software in simulations of engine, powertrain, and other vehicle systems to analyze performance, fuel economy, noise and vibration, contact mechanics, and friction issues. This includes multi-body dynamics (MBD) simulation for cranktrain, valvetrain, and timing drive systems, among others. Analyze customers’ use of GT-SUITE software and advise on designs. Design and define new GT-SUITE features. Tools: GT-SUITE, multi-body dynamics (MBD), flexible bodies, tribology, engine design, measurement, instrumentation, and controls; Matlab/Simulink, AMESim.

Requirements

Education: Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field such as Aeronautics/Astronautics plus 2 years of experience in the job offered or in Engineering required.
Required Skills: Required Specific Skills: Must have previous experience with MDB for cranktrain, valvetrain and timing drive systems; flexible bodies; tribology; contact mechanics, and friction analysis; Matlab/Simulink; AMESim; internal combustion engines, including design, measurement, instrumentation, and controls.
