Senior Engineers

Job Duties

Research and develop advanced computational models of mechanical engineering equipment. These include models for automotive applications such as fuel systems, engine hydraulics, lubrication systems and components, positive displacement pumps, and engine bearings as well as non-automotive applications including industrial pumps and compressors, HVAC, and water heating. Review and optimize existing models. Analyze customers’ use of GT-SUITE, computer-aided engineering software and advise on design of fluid and thermal systems. Design new features in GT-SUITE based on customer’s detailed technical requirements. Provide advanced technical training to commercial licensees utilizing GT-SUITE. TOOLS: GT-SUITE; 1-D Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD), thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, air flow, two-phase flow, heat transfer, system modeling.

Requirements

Education: Master’s in Mechanical Engineering or related field plus two years of experience in the job offered or as an engineer required.

Required Skills: Must have previous experience with: constructing, calibrating, and testing computational models of engine hydraulics and lubrication systems and components; designing and analyzing positive displacement pumps and engine bearings; thermodynamics; fluid mechanics; heat transfer; 1-D Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD).
