Project and Applications Engineer: Thermal Fluids

We are looking for a creative, talented, and self-starting engineer to join our Thermal Fluids Team to help our customers get the most out of our software, GT-SUITE, and to leverage the knowledge learned from these interactions to continuously improve our software. This position is at our Pune office, which is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Gamma Technologies LLC USA.

Gamma Technologies develops, markets, and sells engineering simulation software called GT-SUITE. With roots in Automotive, nearly all the world’s leading automotive manufacturers that leverage GT software. Our solutions help automotive companies build more fuel-efficient vehicles that get better gas mileage while reducing emissions without sacrificing vehicle performance. The move from traditional internal combustion engines (ICE) powered by gasoline or diesel fuel to electrified vehicles presents an enormous market opportunity for GT as our software allows Electrical Vehicle manufacturers and their suppliers, to design better vehicles with our software. Regulatory agencies globally have mandated that vehicle manufacturers reduce harmful environmental emission output or they will face significant financial penalties and GT helps our clients meet these mandates.

In addition to Automotive, GT serves the Aerospace, HVAC, and Marine industries.

 Job Responsibilities:

  • Customer support for the simulation platform GT-SUITE in the application area of thermal management (Coolant flow circuit, heat exchangers, battery, motor cooling) and air-conditioning circuit (2-phase flow and air flow), using our 1D, 3D CFD and FEM solution.
  • Technical support during customer software evaluation projects.
  • Technical contributions to sales and marketing campaigns.
  • Development of customer tailored simulation methodologies using GT-SUITE.
  • Expanding the usage of GT-SUITE to new markets, applications, and systems.
  • Contribution to the software development by specification, validation, and testing of new features.
  • Work with internal teams (local and international) to learn on the job.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Very good understanding of thermodynamics, fluid dynamics, heat, and mass transfer as well as numerical methods.
  • Master’s degree in Mechanical /Thermal / Aerospace engineering with 3 years of experience with 1D flow or system Simulation (Dymola, KULI, AMESim, GT-SUITE).
  • Good understanding of how various thermal and air-conditioning systems work in a vehicle.
  • Open to travel within India and internationally.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
