Gamma Technologies, LLC (GTI) is looking for an Application Engineer – Battery with a solid work ethic, excellent judgment, and a desire to build a long-term career with us. Position Summary

We are looking for a creative, talented and self-starting application engineer to join our Support and Applications Group to help our customers get the most out of our software and to leverage the knowledge learned from these interactions to continuously improve our software. Gamma Technologies develops GT-SUITE and AutoLion, sophisticated desktop software packages for simulating almost any kind of engineering multi-physics system, such as those arising in the automotive, aerospace and other industries, involving fluid, thermal, mechanical, electromagnetics, chemical and controls elements. It also utilizes a sophisticated set of user interfaces including map-based and 3D-based pre- and post-processors.

Job Responsibilities

  • Assist customers in their use of our software to design battery cells and packs.
  • Use customer feedback and interaction to design and test new product features related to battery modeling.
  • Carry out proof-of-concept projects to demonstrate the software’s capability to prospective customers.
  • Teach training classes on use of the software.
  • Opportunity for travel internationally, including Europe and occasionally Asia.

Education and Experience

  • MS degree in materials science and engineering (or similar) with minimum GPA of 3.5/4.0.
  • New college graduates or experienced engineers are welcome.

Technology Skills

  • Required
    • Strong background in battery-related electrochemical phenomena, and battery design
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
    • Ability to work independently, as well as work collaboratively with colleagues.
    • MS Excel – Proficient level
    • MS Word – Proficient level
    • MS PowerPoint – Proficient level
  • Desired
    • Experience with battery simulation software such as AutoLion, Battery Design Studio, GT-SUITE, COMSOL, or other CAE/simulation tool.
    • Experience with integration, calibration and real-time platforms from ETAS, dSPACE and National Instruments.
