Machine Learning Engineer

Gamma Technologies, LLC (GT) is seeking a Machine Learning Engineer with a strong work ethic, sound judgment, and a willingness to develop a long-term career with us for our office in Athens, Greece. Join our expanding development team to investigate, create, and apply fresh machine learning approaches as well as ongoing product updates.

Position Summary

We are looking for a creative, talented, and highly motivated machine learning engineer to join our machine learning development team. The applicant will contribute to the research, design and development of machine learning tools that will provide customized and fully integrated solutions for GT-SUITE, an industry-leading software package for simulating various engineering multi-physics systems found in the automotive, aerospace and many other industries, involving electromagnetics, fluid, thermal, mechanical, acoustics, chemistry, and control domains.

Job Responsibilities

  • Research, develop and implement advanced data science and machine learning algorithms, customized for the engineering environment we provide solutions for
  • Work with our Solver / GUI development and Applications teams toward identifying areas of interest that can benefit from machine learning techniques
  • Improve and expand existing Optimization, DoE and Machine Learning tools and capabilities written in Java
  • Enhance and extend our Python API
  • Study and propose state-of-the-art solutions to remain technically current

Education, Experience and Skills

Any combination of education and experience that would likely provide the required knowledge and abilities is qualifying. A typical way to obtain the knowledge and abilities would be:

  • Ptychio/Diploma/M.S. or PhD in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Machine Learning, Mathematics, or related fields
  • Desired GPA 7.5/10.0
  • 2+ years of professional experience on machine learning projects
  • 1+ year of hands-on experience with at least one ML framework such as Tensorflow, sci-kit learn or PyTorch
  • Deep understanding of statistical and predictive modeling concepts
  • Strong programming skills and experience in Java and Python
  • Fluency in both spoken and written English
