Record Attendance at Annual Conferences

Every year, GT hosts a series of conferences around the world. At these two-day events, leading OEMs, suppliers, and consultants deliver engaging technical presentations about their work and GT debuts features available in the newest release. At our latest conferences, engineers in Europe, North America, Japan, China, South Korea, and India gathered to learn from each other’s experiences, network with industry peeres, and discover how the latest developments to GT-SUITE v2018 will enhance their work.

We are humbled by the growth we saw this year, with more than 1450 people attending worldwide. Thank you to everyone who participated and helped make these events a success.

Below are highlights from some of our recent conferences.

GT’S European GT-SUITE Conference was held October 9-10, 2017 in Frankfurt, Germany. Some highlights include:

New Vehicle Modeling Framework (GT-DRIVE+): At the European Conference, GT debuted GT-DRIVE+, the next generation vehicle modeling methodology built directly in GT-SUITE. This open framework empowers vehicle simulation engineers to optimize their workflow and accurately predict fuel economy, performance, energy management and emissions.

Battery Modeling with AutoLion–GT: Attendees of the European GT-SUITE Conference got a first look at AutoLion-GT, the industry leading predictive lithium-ion battery modeling software. To learn more about AutoLion-GT, click here.

32 Technical Presentations: With four split sessions, attendees had the opportunity to learn from 32 technical presentations by representatives from more than 25 companies and universities.

GT’S North American GT-SUITE Conference was held on November 6-7, 2017 in Plymouth, MI. Some highlights include:

Keynote Presentation: We were pleased to have Chao-Yang Wang, one of the world’s authorities on battery technology, as the keynote presenter at the 2017 North American GT-SUITE Conference. Dr. Wang delivered a thought-provoking presentation on the role of modeling and simulation in the xEV battery revolution.

Four Split Sessions: For the first time in North America, attendees were offered the choice of four split sessions. Topics included Vehicle & Electrification, Thermal Management, Combustion, Exhaust & Acoustics, Hydraulics & Pumps, Fluid Systems, Exhaust Aftertreatment, and Engine.

Record Attendance: Each year the North American GT-SUITE conference grows, and we were happy to see the trend continued this year with 350 people attending!

The India GT-SUITE Conference was held January 15-16, 2018 in Pune, India. The event was hosted with ESI Mindware, who did an exceptional job organizing an engaging and enjoyable conference. Some highlights include:

Record Attendance: This year’s conference was the largest one yet with 130 people attending!

Training and Seminars: On the second day of the conference, attendees learned about the latest GT-SUITE features in 9 seminars and training classes. Topics included vehicle development, BEV and HEV modeling, thermal management, and more!

10 Presentations: Representatives from 10 companies presented their state-of-the-art work using GT-SUITE. Presentations covered a wide range of topics including Fuel Economy, Fast Running Models, Thermal Management, and more.
