This FREE half-day seminar may be attended by anyone interested in learning about the new features in the general and engine mechanics libraries of GT-SUITE. GT is continually enhancing their mechanical application libraries to meet the changing demands of our customers in new concepts and technology development. No previous experience with the software is required. The new features to be presented in this seminar include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Flexible Bodies – SuperElement in shaft systems. Performing dynamic (modal) reduction of Finite Element Model (FEM) with RBEs for faster MBD simulations.
  • NVH Load Export – Generate dynamic results and export in a general format for use as a boundary condition in forced vibration analysis in third party FEA for NVH prediction.
  • GEM3D Enhancements for mechanical systems – Generate mechanical assembly with constraints; Position sprockets and automatically wrap timing chain; Discretize CAD camshaft model for dynamic simulation using cam slicer.
  • EHD/Friction Modeling – Overview of the Elasto-Hydrodynamic model enhancements in GT-SUITE.
  • Valvetrain – Overview of a variety of enhancements specific to the valvetrain library including: Interactive Cam Design enhancements; New Kinematics options for MBD valvetrain models; Enhanced helical springs output; GT-POWER integration enhancements and more.

Computers are not required and will not be provided, although anyone is welcome to bring their own laptops.
