GT-SUITE V6.2
GT-SUITE V6.2 Released
Gamma Technologies, Inc. is pleased to announce the release of GT-SUITE V6.2.0. The most significant new features in V6.2 are listed below (more details may be found in the release notes within Installation_and_Evolution.pdf available on the V6.2 install CD):
GT-SUITE Overview
- Full integration of GT-SUITE, allowing integrated running of all six components of GT-SUITE (Power, Drive, Vtrain, Cool, Fuel, Crank)
- Fully dynamic memory allocation reduces run times for smaller models, and allows handling of arbitrarily large models (reduced computational time for most models).
- Enhancements in Distributed processing scheme
- GEM: New 3D modeling tool for building of geometric models which can then be automatically discretized into a GT-SUITE model file.
GT-ISE (Pre-processing)
- Compound Templates: Allows users to create their own "compound" templates from an assembly of GT-SUITE provided "primitive" templates. User can define the input attributes, RLT outputs, plots, sensors and actuators. Compound templates can be published to the template library and re-used in other models.
- GT-ISE models can be structured into a tree of recursive sub-assemblies (sub-assemblies can exist within other subassemblies).
- Model encryption greatly enhanced for tighter security and more user options
GT-POST (Post-processing)
- Interactive plotting features such as the ability to rotate 3-D contour and 3-D FE plots "live" with mouse and the ability to access plot/data properties and plot data directly from the plot window.
- Improved functionality and ease of use in many tools such as Change Data Source, Import Excel/ASCII, and all plot and table macros.
DOE-POST (Design of Experiments Post-Processing Tool)
- Additional input factor options (any RLT, discrete variables allowed)
- Improved response surface fitting options
- Improved optimization options
GT-SUITE (General and Control)
- New model based controllers allow rapid controller convergence without PID gain calibration
- Significant new controls functionality, including ordinary and differential equation solvers
GT-POWER
- Numerous enhancements in turbocharger modeling
- Enhanced acoustics modeling, including modeling of porous pipes and flow noise
- Expanded functionality in many of the combustion models
- New simulation based tool for analysis of measured cylinder pressure data using measured port pressures as boundary conditions for accurate predictions of trapped mass and residual fraction(Three Pressure Analysis - TPA)
- More accurate methodology used to calculate fuel burn rate from measured cylinder pressure
- New chemistry library and after treatment models for emissions modeling, including optional integration with KINetics from Reaction Design.
- Real-time execution under LINUX RT operating system
GT-COOL
- Fully integrated coupling with GT-POWER engine models, both in heat exchangers and the FE structural model for heat transfer between the cylinder chamber and water jackets
- 3-D Modeling of integrated cooling modules (multiple heat exchangers and fans in series)
- Transient A/C modeling (planned for release in later build)
GT-FUEL
- More robust solution
- Solenoid actuators and piezo sensors and actuators
- Frequency-dependent friction and heat transfer model
GT-DRIVE
- Restructured completely for ease of use and design flexibility
- Numerous improvements to kinematic and static analysis
- New flexible and easy-to-use vehicle driver (VehDriver) template
GT-VTRAIN
- New and completely flexible camshaft model architecture
- Expanded frequency-domain torsional analysis, with highly flexible configuration of output
- New 1-D hydraulics modeling for cam phasers and hydraulic lash adjusters
GT-CRANK
- Major upgrade brings all capabilities together: torsional vibrations (time- and frequency-based), bending, stresses, fatigue, 3-D beam FE approach, engine balancing, 3-D block vibrations, bearing oil film solutions.
