Gamma Technologies Hosts Forum of Engine Designers
Companies participating at GTI's annual GT-SUITE Conference have included most engine and vehicle makers (e.g. GM, Chrysler, Ford, Honda, Detroit Diesel, Mack Trucks, Cummins, Caterpillar, Harley Davidson, Delphi, Visteon and many others)
Westmont IL October 16, 2002 - Gamma Technologies Inc. (GTI), today announced the program for the company's 6th annual GT-SUITE Conference, to be held in Dearborn, MI, on Monday November 18, 2002. GT-SUITE is clearly established as the #1 engine simulation software, with a customer base that has grown to over 150, including practically all world's leading automotive companies and engine most engine consulting firms.
An annual event since 1997, GTI holds three regional GT-SUITE Conferences each year: a European Conference in Frankfurt, a North American Conference in the Detroit area and a Japanese Conference in Yokohama, with hundreds of engineers from across the industry attending and conducting technical presentations.
"Our Conferences serve as forums for our customers and technology partners to give presentations about their use of GT-SUITE, to learn about upcoming features and releases of GT-SUITE, to provide feedback to our developers and to discuss overall industry trends," said Dr. Thomas Morel, President & Founder of GTI. "The conferences also provide attendees the opportunity to interact with each other, exchanging ideas on how to make even more effective use of GTI's industry leading products."
"GTI's GT-SUITE conference is an important event for GM's engine simulation analysts," said Gerry Clark, CAE analyst at GM Powertrain, "the event provides information on technical advances from both the software and user perspective. The conference also allows us a chance to compare notes with our automotive and non-automotive peers."
"In recent years, major automotive manufacturers have increasingly relied on sophisticated virtual design and development software tools to increase the overall quality of their products, while shortening the time to market," said Dr. Paul Blumberg, former Director of Ford Product Development Information Technology and of Ford Research Laboratories. "It is no coincidence that GTI, which possesses the most technically capable and experienced developers of commercial powertrain software, has seen rapid growth during this same period. GT-SUITE is the logical choice for engine designers seeking to gain the competitive edge that an industry leading, state-of-the-art tool can provide."
Industry Leading Presentations
On the program are several industrial presenting organizations, that will also participate in GTI's European GT-SUITE Conference (October 21, 2002 in Frankfurt, Germany) including:
FEV Motorentechnik - FEV is an internationally recognized leader in the design and development of internal combustion engines, and a major supplier of advanced testing and services to some of the world's largest powertrain OEMs (www.fev.com).
Harley-Davidson Motor Company (NYSE: HDI) - Harley-Davidson Motor Company, the major U.S.-based motorcycle manufacturer, produces heavyweight motorcycles and accessories (www.harley-davidson.com).
Opal-RT Technologies - Opal-RT's core expertise is in distributed real-time simulation aimed at hardware-in-the-loop. As a GTI technology partner, Opal-RT's RT-LAB technology is integrated with GTI's GT-Power, to give engineers shareable engine models for base engine design and for real-time simulations (www.opal-rt.com).
The MathWorks - The MathWorks is the world's leading developer of technical computing software for engineers and scientists in industry, government, and education (www.mathworks.com).
Also presenting , at GTI's European GT-SUITE Conference are:
MAN Nutzfahrzeuge - MAN Trucks, located in Nuremberg, is an important manufacturer of a wide range of on-highway trucks, and a variety of military vehicles (www.mn.man.de).

About Gamma Technologies Inc.
Gamma Technologies Inc. (www.gtisoft.com) develops and licenses GT-SUITE - an integrated suite of CAE (Computer-Aided Engineering) software tools. GT-SUITE, which incorporates GT-Power, is the first true "virtual engine / powertrain / vehicle" simulation tool. The product makes it possible for engineering professionals to model engine performance, vehicle dynamics, valvetrain dynamics, cooling systems, fuel injection systems, and cranktrain dynamics. GT-SUITE's ease-of-use is further enhanced by integration with third party products such as STAR-CD, Fluent, Simulink and Frontier.
