GT-SUITE V6.0 Released
This new version of GT-SUITE introduces many new capabilities and improvements to existing features. A few of the more significant changes are listed below (A more comprehensive listing of GT-SUITE V6.0 features by product can be found in the Release Notes section in the GT-ISE/GT-POST User's Manual, which is being shipped with the software):
- All GT-SUITE solvers consolidated into a single executable file
- Enhanced system modeling capabilities (improved integration between GT-SUITE products)
- New library of thermal components to build thermal networks (e.g. for engine warmup)
- New GT-POWER RT can be coupled with Opal-RT's RT-LAB to perform real-time (hardware-in-the-loop) testing
- New XML format used for data files
- New SQL database used for storing simulation output
- GT-ISE and GT-POST completely redesigned and rewritten in JAVA, providing the basis for many new features and providing the full capabilities of the GUI to all platforms, including Linux.
- New GT-POST includes ALL post-processing activities (RLT Viewer, plotting, animation, etc.)
- New "Mini-Map" in GT-ISE simplifies navigation within large models
- New 3-D Flowsplit Viewer in GT-ISE
- New internal subassemblies, stored within main model
- New "spatial" animation plots to clearly show wave dynamics in pipes
- Improved Mean Value Cylinder, now available also in GT-COOL
- Improved Turbine map pre-processor provides better turbine map fitting
- Improved Turbine/Compressor matching tool
- Improved simulation convergence criteria in Run Setup
- Improved controls capability
- New ability to predict engine recoil (torsional block vibrations)
- Improved Cam Design tool including new valvetrain kinematics capability
- New platform available (PC) for coupled runs with Star-CD
