GT-SUITE is an integrated set of CAE tools for design and analysis of engines, powertrains and vehicles. These tools are contained in a single executable. This is essential to its use in "Integrated Simulations".

| GT-SUITE contains the following applications (codes): |
| GT-POWER |
Engine simulation for performance, acoustics and control |
| GT-DRIVE |
Powertrain and vehicle simulation, analysis of driving cycles and driveline component dynamics |
| GT-VTRAIN |
Valvetrain kinematics, dynamics and tribology; camshaft vibrations |
| GT-COOL |
Engine heat management and cooling system analysis |
| GT-FUEL |
Injection system pressure and flow dynamics |

General Features of GT-SUITE
The following is a list of features common to all of the
applications in GT-SUITE (and included at no extra cost):
- All six applications are combined within GT-SUITE to form
integrated tools ('virtual engine/powertrain/vehicle')
- All codes are launched from a common graphical interface,
used also for all pre- and post-processing, which are identical to all simulations
- Object-based data structure reduces user effort
- Simulation output stored in MySQL commercial database
- Completely general built-in optimizer and DOE tool
- Distributed computing capability automatically uses network resources
- Operates on Windows 95/98/ME/NT/2000/XP, on UNIX and LINUX
- Coupled with 3-D CFD codes STAR-CD, FLUENT and FIRE
- Coupled with control system software SIMULINK (Mathworks)
- Built-in GT-SUITE control object library allows engine and simulation control
- Runtime simulation control and graphical monitoring
- Input and output is integrated with MS EXCEL
- User routines can be incorporated
