APPLICATION ENGINEER: VEHICLE DYNAMICS

Application of GT-SUITE vehicle dynamics simulation capabilities to key vehicle engineering issues such as performance, drive cycle fuel economy and emissions, driveability, engine and transmission controls, hybrid-electric vehicle (HEV) configurations, HEV control strategies, thermal and energy management, in the context of technical support of commercial licensees and consulting projects. Training of customers and feeding back their requirements into the continuous software development process. Participation in the design, development and testing of new software modules as well as marketing. Opportunities for interacting with engine, powertrain and vehicle engineers worldwide. Also opportunities (depending on experience and preferences) for taking on model design and development responsibilities.

Required Qualifications

• MS or BS in Mechanical Engineering
• Graduate research or other work experience in applied dynamics
• Good knowledge of vehicle dynamics fundamentals
• Desirable: Familiarity with above applications of vehicle simulations and system dynamics and control, model development expertise
