MECHANICAL ENGINEERING CO-OP POSITION

We are seeking talented and motivated individuals. A position for a contiguous term of one semester and one summer to aid in the development and support of our GT-SUITE software is available. Typical assignments include: using the software to perform studies on different engine phenomena, short-term programming assignments to implement new algorithms into the code (typically FORTRAN), creating CAD drawings for training purposes and manuals, testing new software versions/installations, and other types of analysis.

Required Qualifications:

• At least 3 completed semesters in Mechanical/Aerospace Engineering; junior class status desirable.
• GPA of 3.4 or higher.

Desirable Qualifications:

• Experience with computer simulation of flow or mechanical systems
• Interest and/or experience with internal combustion engines: including design, measurement and instrumentation, controls, SAE projects (FormulaSAE, Future Car), automotive rebuilding.
