GT-DRIVE is a versatile vehicle and drivetrain simulation tool with the following applicability:
Engine-transmission-vehicle sizing and matching |
Driving cycle fuel economy and emissions |
Vehicle performance prediction |
Evaluation of driveline components |
Engine and powertrain controls |
Three levels of engine models |
GT-DRIVE can be run in the Dynamic (i.e. "forward") mode, which calculates vehicle response to driver inputs, or in the Kinematic ("backward") mode in which the engine state and driver inputs are calculated from a known vehicle state. A third, Static mode is useful for evaluation of vehicle-transmission-engine combinations.
GT-DRIVE contains an advanced driver model, flexible and user-configurable submodels of conventional and HEV driveline components, controllers, as well as characterizations of road and environmental conditions.
