GT-COOL is an advanced code for design and optimization of engine thermal management. It is specifically designed for use by engine and vehicle manufacturers and heat management component suppliers. The code is applicable to both steady state and transient analysis, and includes detailed engine and vehicle modeling elements. Vehicle and engine models can be shared between GT-DRIVE, GT-POWER and GT-COOL. GT-COOL's implicit flow solver provides a fast, reliable and robust solution without the need for network-type approximations.
GT-COOL includes all elements necessary for modeling the entire cooling system including air-side, coolant-side, oil/transmission fluid coolers and other system fluids. A library of thermal components allows structure temperature calculations.
