2005 and prior Milestones
2005
- First GT-SUITE Conference in China (adding to those in Japan and Korea
- Added Renault VI as a customer, and with this important step now all US and European truck makers use GT-POWER
- Customer count has increased, to reach over 250. Over 30 new customers signed up for GT-SUITE, among them Aprilia, Mark IV, Nissan Europe, Renault VI (part of Volvo Truck), Skoda, Siemens, Komatsu and Kubota.
- Cummins and GTI demonstrated the use of GT-SUITE for Real-Time simulations, in a presentation given by Cummins at the GT-SUITE Conference in Dearborn. Examples were shown of real-time "hardware in the loop" application.
- DaimlerChrysler US adopted GT-POWER for massive design optimization studies. These are run in parallel on a large network of computers to deliver rapid solutions. This work utilizes methodologies for distributed runs and for optimization which are built-in directly in GT-SUITE and require no third party products to operate. This work was presented at the GT-SUITE Conference in Dearborn.
- BMW and GTI teamed up to develop a new automated capability in GT-POWER to analyze engine cylinder pressures acquired in tests to derive accurate rate of burn. This new capbility is a further step by GTI in its work on integration of test and simulation.
2004
- GTI marks its 10th anniversary (est. 1994).
- Customer base grew to over 220; and among others we added: Faurecia, ExxonMobil, Nissan NA, SEAT, Mecaplast, J. Eberspaecher, VM Motori, Hyundai US, Perkins, Siemens and Bentley.
- Court jury ruled against Fawzan Alsharif, Business Development Manager of Ricardo Software in a lawsuit over untrue and defamatory e-mails. The evidence showed that Alsharif sent these e-mails after concluding that he needed to "smear" Dr. Morel's reputation in order for Ricardo Software to be able to compete with Gamma Technologies.
- BMW announced that the car manufacturer will be fully migrating to Gamma's GT-POWER and GT-SUITE and adopt these as their engine simulation and design tools.
2003
- GTI and Wisconsin Engine Research Consultants, LLC (WERC) announced an integrated product that combines GT-SUITE with WERC-KIVA 3-D combustion models. WERC principals include world-class authorities on diesel combustion modeling, Prof. Rolf Reitz and Prof. Chris Rutland.
- Renault S.A. adopts GT-POWER for engine simulations
